UNIQUE LOCATION – Kavalan distillery is situated in Yilan in North Eastern Taiwan. The site was chosen for the abundance of pure spring water which flows from the Snowy Mountain range and the fresh, clean air. The Siberian wind which blows in from the ocean during winter helps create complex flavours during aging. BEST OF THE BEST – Kavalan produces whiskies of the most exceptional quality. With the help of the late Dr Jim Swan (‘the Einstein of whisky’) the distillery launched Taiwan’s first single malt whiskies.
