Johnson’s Tick Remover is suitable for use with dogs, cats, horses and other animals and has been specially designed and manufactured in the UK, with a European Registered Design No. 004033199. The easy to clean plastic remover has 2 sizes of hooked twisters, one at each end, the appropriate size of hook to be used depending on the size of tick. The hook is inserted under the tick from the side and 2 or 3 rotations of the twister removes the tick quickly easily and completely, so that no part of the tick is left under the pets skin which can cause infection. After removal of ticks, it is advisable to wipe the skin of the affected areas with an antiseptic solution and wash the remover. Ticks are carrier of various diseases which can be transmitted, not only to pets but also their owners and can cause irritation, fever, lethargy, lameness and paralysis, also more serious problems such as Lyme Disease.
