HARDY FERN - The Jurassic Gold is a deciduous to semi evergreen fern that has long tapering green fronds that turn a bronzy gold colour when young and back to a lime green colour as the plant matures. Native to Great Britain, this fern variety was first discovered by Bob Hollister on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. It will grow to a height of 75cm with a spread of 50cm.PATIO CONTAINERS - This hardy fern makes an excellent addition to any patio planting arrangement or for the centre of a hanging basket. It complements other cool tolerant plants such as Primroses, Pansy, Viola during the Spring/Summer months or Mini Cyclamen in the Autumn. Once finished in a container it can be then planted into a garden for more years of enjoyment.GROWING CONDITIONS - The Dryopteris wallichiana thrives in shady damp conditions in humus-rich slightly acidic soil.
